Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between requests — for example, that you're logged in — so it can work properly and securely. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way.

Essential (set by LoveChecker):

• Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — keeps you logged in, briefly remembers your latest result between pages, and links to the security (CSRF) token that protects our forms. It is set when you open a page with a form (our tools, contact and login pages) or log in; reading articles and information pages does not create it. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Similar technology (browser storage):

• Cookie notice preference — saved in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) when you dismiss our cookie notice, so we don't show it again.

Analytics (set by Google):

• Google Analytics (for example _ga and _ga_*), used together with Google Tag Manager — measures visits and popular pages in aggregate so we can improve our tools.

Where the law requires consent — for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — a consent message asks for your choice before non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy Settings link in our footer (it reopens the consent message when it applies to you).

For those visitors, our pages start with analytics storage switched off until you make a choice. The consent message saves your choice in its own cookie so you are not asked again on every page.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time (see section 4 below).

We never share the names, dates or other details you type into our calculators with anyone for marketing. See section 2 of our Privacy Policy for exactly what happens to them.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working — for instance, you wouldn't be able to stay logged in or submit forms:

• Most browsers let you view, block, or clear cookies under their privacy or security settings.
• Clearing cookies and site data will log you out and show our cookie notice again.
• Blocking third-party cookies does not stop our calculators, quizzes or blog from working.
• Logged-in users can delete saved results at any time from their dashboard.

If we ever change how we use cookies, we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
