About the Crush Calculator
The Crush Calculator is the name-based score people try when they are thinking about someone they have not told yet. It applies a -3 adjustment to the base name score and uses crush labels, so its numbers differ slightly from the Love Calculator for the same two names. Nothing is sent to the other person and nobody is notified. It cannot read anyone's feelings; at best it gives you a quiet moment to think about how you would like to start a real conversation.

How the Result Is Calculated

- The exact method
- Both names are joined in the order you typed them, spaces are removed and the text is lower-cased. We take the CRC32 checksum of that text (a standard way of turning text into a number), then base score = (checksum mod 86) + 15, which always lands between 15 and 100. The Crush Calculator then adds -3, so results run from 12 to 97. Labels: 90+ "Soulmate Connection", 75+ "Strong Match", 60+ "Good Chemistry", 45+ "Needs Effort", below 45 "Challenging Path".
- Example you can reproduce
- "Rahul" + "Priya" always gives 77% (Crush: Strong Match). Typed the other way round, "Priya" + "Rahul" gives 51%.
- What it can't tell you
- It cannot tell whether someone likes you — only talking to them can. Swapping the names can change the score.
